Struck at the Mexico CIty Mint (mint mark Mo).

First year production of 8 Reales coins after suspension of the Balance Scale Peso series, which was unpopular in the Orient.

Dunigan Mo57: "Much of his issue went to the Orient and can be found with small chopmarks. It is obtainable through Almost Uncirculated, but Uncirculated examples are scarce."

Certified by NGC to MS 62.

Well struck, lightly toned with highly lustrous & reflective surfaces, beautiful in hand.
