- Very Fine Mexico silver 8 reales coin.
- Struck at the Durango Mint (mint mark Do), assayer RM.
- Variety with raised letter B on eagle's right foot. Believed to be the initial of the mint director M. Bras-de-Fer.
- Rare mint error with the s in 20 Gs, not engraved as a superscript, but much lower with an underscore below the s.
- Dunigan Do08: "The 1831 is scarce, but less so than the 1830."
- Certified by PCGS to VF 30.
- Well struck for this early First Republic date.
