- Dated AN 12 = mid 1803 to mid 1804.
- Two obverse type were used during AN 12:
- Consulate: bust with legend: BONAPARTE PREMIER CONSUL.
- First Empire: bust with legend: NAPOLEON EMPEREUR.
- The First Empire type with EMPEREUR is rare.
- Certified by NGC to XF 45.
- Dark toned, images taken with oblique lighting to show underlying luster and strike details.
