Well struck, nicely detailed with considerable original red, very nice in hand.

Obverse: figure of a Faith standing holding a book, SOUTH SHIELDS HALFPENNY 1794.

Reverse: a coal tender ship sailing to the right with lantern, flag and bow nautical figurehead, SUCCESS TO THE COAL TRADE.
