- Reverse: Oath-taking scene of youth kneeling left, head right, holding pig, two soldiers standing facing him on either side, each with grounded spear in left hand and touching pig with sword in right hand, ROMA above.
- Sear notes: "A remarkable type representing a complete break with the 75-year tradition of the denarius coinage. The reverse is a revival of the gold coinage of 217-216 BC."
