  • Struck at the Cyzicus Mint (mint mark KYZ), officinia B, during his 4th regnal year = 613/614 CE.
  • Sear 839, copper, approx. 29mm.
  • Overstruck on an earlier follis (typically from Emperor Phocas) minted at Constantinople, mint mark CON with ANNO to left (see third reverse image view).
  • Obverse: D N HRACLI PERP AVG, Cuirassed bust facing with short beard wearing plumed helmet and holding cross & shield.
  • Reverse: Large M (value), A/N/N/O to left, cross above, IIII (date) to right, B below, KYZ in exergue.
  • Denomination M = 40 nummi = 1 follis, Cyzicus mint (KYZ ), second officinia B, reign year ANNO IIII (4) = 613/614 CE. 
  • Certified by NGC to Ch VF, very little wear on portrait.
